Artist Statement
As a metals artist, I am motivated by the act of creation. I engage the use of natural tension, movements and textures found in nature to create organic forms that embody fluidity while giving artistic identity to each piece. With aesthetic understanding of form and expression, I combine conceptual and fastidious beauty with technical proficiency, fabricating pieces into ornamental, abstract and decorative designs that aim to excite the imagination and capture emotions while challenging one to appreciate and desire original art. Believing there should always be discovery while maintaining discipline in one’s craft, I continue to pursue my goal of always learning.
